Today with the advent of newer & newer inventions our lives have become greatly stressed due to long standing working hours, performance issues & competition in every field. One has to maintain proper mental & emotional balance to combat to daily needs. Some important issues that affect our mental & emotional balance are discussed here.

Grief:

Grief is a multi-faceted response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or something to which a bond was formed. Although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, it also has physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, and philosophical dimensions. Very often unresolved emotional issues get suppressed or "stuck up" in an individual. They eventually cause distress from within creating disharmony & often crop up as symptoms of a disease or physical ailments.

Every person grieves differently. Hence at bodhin, our skilled doctors counsel every individual helping them to cope up with these issues & gently provide relief with the medicines. This provides them support thereby causing speedy recovery.

Depression:

Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can have a negative effect on a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and physical well-being. Depressed people may feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, worried, helpless, worthless, guilty, irritable, hurt, or restless. They may lose interest in activities that once were pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems concentrating, remembering details, or making decisions.

Life events and changes that may precipitate depressed mood include menopause, financial difficulties, job problems, relationship troubles, separation, bereavement, and catastrophic injury. With the changing lifestyle patterns mostly the uprising of corporate world there is a lot of tension & competition to meet the deadlines for completion of work. This has given rise to increase in the number of individuals suffering from depression.

Stress:

Stress is defined as an organism's response to an environmental condition or stimulus, also known as a stressor. Stress is also known as the body's way to react to a challenge. Stress typically describes a negative condition or a positive condition that can have an impact on an organism's mental and physical well-being. Over the long term, distress can lead to diminished health and / or increased propensity to illness; to avoid this, stress must be managed. Stress management encompasses techniques intended to equip a person with effective coping mechanisms for dealing with psychological stress. Responses to stress include adaptation, psychological coping anxiety, and depression.

As explained in depression, the changing life patterns have caused a lot of stress not only on the aged but also on school going children at tender age. At bodhin, we offer programs to help individuals combat all these issues with the help of effective counseling by our skilled professionals combined with medicines.
